Part I shall be designated for investigative agencies; and
Part II shall be designated for individual investigators.
Louisiana has limited reciprocity agreements, and full reciprocity agreements.

Associations:Louisiana Private Investigators AssociationQualifications Requirement: If the applicant is a sole proprietor, he must furnish a copy of his occupational license with the application. Applicants must submit appropriate fees along with the application. An administration fee of $25 made payable to the board will be assessed on all checks returned from the bank and deemed non-sufficient funds.
No person shall make an application to the board as qualifying agent unless that person intends to maintain and does maintain that supervisory position on a regular, full-time basis.

For private investigator employed by a company or corporation, or apprentice investigator:
Annual renewal license fee - $50; Replacement fee for a lost, destroyed, or mutilated license - $25; Renewal within 30 days after expiration of license - $50; Late fee - $35; Transfer of agency - $50.
