Description of Private Investigations in Baltimore

Private Investigators in Baltimore

Baltimore Private Investigator

Private investigators in the Baltimore, Maryland area are required to obtain a private investigator’s license through the Maryland State Police Licensing Division before they can legally conduct investigations. Many states have similar requirements, which are designed to protect both the clients who seek out private investigators, and the subjects who are being investigated. Before applicants can obtain a private investigator’s license, they must pass a thorough background check, fingerprinting, and must provide proof of investigative experience. Commonly, this experience comes from police department, military, or federal investigative agencies, but a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice can occasionally be substituted for at least a portion of the experience required. All of ICS’s Baltimore, Maryland private investigators are fully licensed and up to date on all local, state, and federal industry standards as a part of our mission to provide excellent and reliable investigative services to the greater Baltimore area.

Adultery, Infidelity, or Cheating Spouse Investigations

Infidelity and extramarital affairs can tear a marriage apart, especially if you suspect that your spouse or partner is having an affair, but you do not have proof. Worrying and wondering if your partner is cheating is stressful and can be extremely damaging to your happiness and success. Private investigators from ICS can help you find out the truth about your husband, wife, or partner, and put your suspicions of cheating to rest once and for all. Call ICS for a free consultation for adultery, infidelity, or cheating spouse investigation if you see any of these common signs of cheating in your partner: excessive or secretive computer or cell phone usage, unexpected and unlikely “business” trips, hiding financial information or opening an individual bank account or credit card, losing or removing wedding band or family pictures from the wallet or purse, and frequent hang ups or wrong numbers on the home phone. These are only a few of the common signs of a cheater, so if you feel suspicious about anything you see your partner doing, please call ICS and get the answers you deserve.

Adultery is grounds for divorce in the state of Maryland, but if you choose to file for divorce based on infidelity or an extramarital affair, you will need to be able to prove an affair occurred. ICS Baltimore private investigators are highly experienced at collecting and presenting proof of adultery in a format that meets all of Baltimore’s rigorous divorce court standards. Without a private investigator, it can be very difficult to collect adequate and acceptable evidence for proving grounds for divorce. Baltimore, Maryland, handles divorces by using equitable distribution, which means that the courts divide up all property and debts during the divorce process equitably. Equitable does not mean equally, but rather fairly, so all properties, assets, income, and debts are divided in a fair and logical manner depending on a variety of factors. One such factor that can influence what a court deems as fair is the reasons that the divorce came up, for example, a Baltimore divorce judge may consider proof of an affair, especially proof of money spent on an affair, when deciding how assets and debts should be divided. In these circumstances a private investigator can be invaluable as it can be almost impossible for some people to compile a wide and comprehensive report of this nature without the tools and techniques used by ICS private investigators.

An adultery, infidelity or cheating partner investigation by ICS does not have to apply only to married couples. People who are in long term, serious relationships can benefit enormously from a private investigation, especially if they own property together or live in the same home. Adultery is painful in any situation, and everyone has the right to know if his or her partner is cheating. Please do not hesitate to contact an ICS Baltimore private investigator if you think your partner is cheating.

Child Custody, Visitation, and Support Investigations

The number one concern in child custody case is always the child’s welfare, whether the family lives in Baltimore or anywhere else in the country. During and after a divorce involving minor children, the courts must decide how to arrange custody, visitation and child support details. If the parents are unable to decide who should have custody, or are unwilling or unable to agree upon equal joint custody, it falls to the family court systems in Baltimore to determine what living situation would most benefit the child or children involved. This is always a difficult and serious decision, and the court will generally wish to see proof of any claims made about the other parent. If you believe your ex-husband or ex-wife is not willing or able to provide a clean, loving, and safe environment, you will need a private investigator to help you obtain the proper evidence to prove your case in front of a judge. Simply going into court and pointing fingers will not help you get the child custody or visitation rights you deserve, instead, you need professional, accountable, and verifiable proof that can be used in court.

After child custody and child support arrangements have been made, you may run into trouble with what is known as a “deadbeat dad” or “deadbeat mom” who will not pay their child support. Some parents lie about the amount of money they make in order to evade paying the full child support amount, and some parents do not even attempt to make their payments. Occasionally, the parent with full custody will lie and cheat in order to get more money than they deserve from the other parent. It can be frustrating and difficult to get child support arrangements restructured, so when you do finally get a court date with a Baltimore judge you need to be prepared to provide all the correct documentation to prove your claims. By hiring an ICS private investigator you can help lessen the stress of trying to obtain the proper paperwork, as you may not have access to the same resources as private detectives do. If you need help proving your child support or custody case to a judge, do not hesitate to contact ICS to begin your free consultation today.

Missing Person and Locate Person Investigations

Baltimore Private Investigation

If you have a missing person or locate person case in Baltimore, hiring a private investigator from ICS may be the right choice for you. Clients come to ICS when they are searching for a missing person that the police have not been able to find, either because their investigation was unsuccessful, or simply because the investigation is outside the scope of their department. This happens particularly in instances of run away children or cases of people you have lost contact with, but who are not missing, such as old friends, birth parents, or when you need to find a debtor or defrauder. In these types of cases the police simply cannot help, but a private investigator can pick up where their jurisdiction ends, and can even continue cases that were unsolved by the local police department. ICS can help you find a lost or missing person whether a crime has been committed or not. If you have an unsolved missing person case, or need to locate a lost person in Baltimore or elsewhere, ICS can help, so contact ICS to begin your investigation today.

Baltimore Background Checks

If you need a background check performed on an individual living in Baltimore, or if you live in Baltimore and need a background check performed out of state, ICS can help. Background checks are one the most common and well known tools a Baltimore private investigator can provide. Often, a background check is the only information a client needs. In cases where a more in-depth investigation is called for, the background check is a great starting point, providing the investigator and client with valuable leads to pursue. If you need a Baltimore background check, or if you have a case involving one, ICS is ready to work for you to provide the discreet and confidential service you need in a delicate and professional manner. ICS has been helping people in Baltimore just like you get results since 1967.

Computer and Cellular Forensics

In an increasingly technological world, it has become more important-and more difficult-to keep your personal information safe. Part of keeping your information safe involves knowing who has been accessing your personal electronic devices, and determining if information has been viewed or copied. ICS can retrieve and analyze data from electronic storage devices, like desktop and laptop computers, network servers, external storage drives, flash drives, digital cameras, smart phones such as the iPhone or Android phones, and more. All data retrieval methods used by ICS are complaint with all federal and Maryland state laws, so any data recovered will be available to use as evidence. In addition to recovering emails, instant messages, and text messages, ICS also offers virus and spyware detection and removal, pornography detection, email tracing, computer and network intrusion detection and prevention, Internet history evaluation, and hidden files detection. Contact ICS today to ensure that your data and digital devices are safe. ICS can help protect you from the increasing threat of identity theft.

Technical Surveillance Countermeasures

Technical Surveillance Countermeasures are steps taken to detect and prevent unwanted surveillance. Technical surveillance often takes the form of eavesdropping by bugging a house, tapping a phone line, or installing hidden cameras, with the intention of committing corporate espionage, privacy invasion, extortion, identity theft, information theft, or stalking. Being the victim of technical surveillance can endanger your personal safety, and leaves you vulnerable to potential financial damages. To ensure that you haven’t fallen prey to technical surveillance, ICS will perform a technical surveillance countermeasures sweep, which consists of sweeping for bugs, performing a physical and electronic inspection of the area to check for infrared, laser, audio recording, hidden cameras, wireless microphones, radio transmitters, phone taps, GPS tracking, and cell phone interceptors. A technical surveillance countermeasures sweep is not an investigation in itself, but rather is a service offered by ICS; if evidence of illegal surveillance is found, ICS will collaborate with a Baltimore private investigator to report findings and take appropriate action.
