A client who had been happily married to his wife for 10 years came to ICS because he suspected that she was being unfaithful. The wife was going out frequently and becoming distant in the relationship. He felt that she was not acting the way she used to. He suspected her of infidelity.
Summary:
The client believed that a pair of his wife's undergarments had some soiling that he thought resembled semen. He brought them in to ICS to have them tested to see if it was his DNA or someone else's. Within hours of bringing ICS the sample, we were able to inform him that his suspicions were correct, and the undergarments had tested positive for semen and male DNA. The only question now was if the sample on the undergarments was his or someone else’s. As part of our services we were able to offer him the option of finding out if the sample was a match to our client. The client came back into our office and provided a cheek swab so that we could provide the lab with an untainted sample. We sent the client sample off to the lab along with the undergarments.
Conclusion:
The lab provided ICS with the results of the test within seven days. The results of the test showed six other DNA matches on the women's undergarments – and none matched the client. The client was extremely devastated, but, because of the proof that we were able to provide, the judge found in favor of him during the divorce proceedings. The wife did not get a penny. The client soon fell in love again and moved to the Bahamas with a beautiful 23-year-old blonde girl.
