Being a mark of a scam artist is unfortunately a part of life. It is one of the oldest professions and its digitally proliferated as societies become more comfortable living in the mirror of the internet. Here is how one client was able to overcome her suspicion:
The Client was requesting a background on a male subject she met on a dating site. She felt the individual she met was not being truthful about himself, as he was beginning to ask to borrow money and information he gave her was not adding up. The client was able to provide a driver’s license photo and a passport photo.
ICS conducted a background on the subject through various databases and searches. There was no information found on the subject based on the name, date of birth, addresses and emails that the client was given by the subject. Also after examining the driver license and passport photo, it was learned these identification cards were fake.
