Prior to becoming a private investigator, Mr. Lee served on the Phoenix police force. Bill Lee meets or exceeds all industry standards and has more than 25 years of investigative experience. Contact Bill Lee at the Arizona office by calling (602) 234-8888, or call our Toll Free line at (800) 828-9198.
In the state of Arizona it is illegal to act as a private investigator without first receiving licensure from the Department of Public Safety. Applicants must pass all state licensing requirements, including a thorough background check. While many Arizona private investigators come from a law enforcement or military background, it is not a requirement for employment as a private investigator.

Our Arizona computer forensics investigators securely collect the suspect data and exam its contents based on the purpose of the investigation. Computer forensics investigators at ICS of Arizona provide services such as: data recovery of emails, instant messages, and all types of files, virus and spyware detection and removal, email tracing, pornography detection, computer and network intrusion detection and prevention, internet history evaluation, hidden files detection, and more. Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
Technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) eavesdropping detection and bug sweeps are designed to detect any means of eavesdropping or electronic bugs in use at your home, office or vehicle. The TSCM professionals with ICS are highly qualified, certified and accredited. Whether your case involves suspicion of corporate espionage, stalking, intrusion into your private affairs, extortion, identity theft, or any other malicious attempt to harm you through information theft, the TSCM professionals at ICS are ready to assist you with an in-depth, comprehensive survey. A technical surveillance countermeasures sweep with ICS involves both physical and electronic inspection of the area of concern to determine if any means of eavesdropping or information theft are in use, like infrared, laser, audio recording, video recording, phone taps, GPS tracking, hidden cameras, wireless microphones, radio transmitters, cell phone interceptors, and more. If you suspect that one of these devices, or any other means of eavesdropping or information theft, have been used against you, contact ICS today to begin a TSCM eavesdropping detection and bug sweep. A technical surveillance countermeasures eavesdropping detection and bug sweep is a service offered by ICS and is not itself an investigation; ICS will work with a Arizona private investigator to report findings and take action in the event of a discovery of illegal surveillance activities.
Arizona Background Check
Do you need a background check performed on an individual in the State of Arizona? Are you in Arizona and need a background check performed elsewhere? ICS can provide this service and many others. Background checks are one of the most well known and useful investigation tools a private investigator can provide. Sometimes a background check is all a client needs and other times it is merely the first step into a more in-depth investigation, providing clues and leads for the investigator and client to pursue. If you need a Arizona background check or an investigation involving one, the professionals at ICS are ready to work for you to provide the discreet and confidential service you need. ICS has been helping people in Arizona just like you get results since 1967.

Jurisdictional, Licensing, and Regulation Concerns
Arizona Private Investigator LicenseArizona has two types of Private Investigator Licenses, An Agency License, and a Private Investigator License. A Private Investigator must be licensed under an agency. In order to obtain an Agency license and investigator must have three years experience. For an investigative license, one must be employed through an investigation agency. Box 6328, Phoenix, Arizona, United States, 85005 Phone: (602) 223 2361 Fax: (602) 223 2938 Associations:Arizona Association of Licensed Private InvestigatorsCitation Statute: Arizona Revised Statute Title 32. Professions and Occupations Chapter 32. Private Investigators Website: http://www.azleg.state.az.us/arizonarevisedstatutes.asp?title=32Qualifications Requirement: Private Investigation Agency: A Private Investigator must have had a minimum of three years of full-time investigative experience or the equivalent of three years of full-time investigative experience that consists of actual work performed as an investigator for a private concern, for the federal government or for a state, county or municipal government. The necessary documentation to fulfill the above Statute must be described in a letter from an individual or individuals, such as a former supervisor, who can specifically state their work relationship with you and personally verify your investigative experience. The author of the letter must be clearly identified by name and include an address and contact telephone number. The author must sign the letter. You may also submit documentation from an agency from which you retired or were previously employed. This documentation may be in the form of retirement papers, letters of recommendation, performance evaluations, or military records such as DD 214, NCOERs, OERs, awards, etc. (a DD 214 alone is insufficient evidence - we also need the copy that shows the type of discharge received). The documents must explicitly state that you have the required investigative experience from verifiable sources. Private Investigator: Be offered employment by a DPS-licensed Private Investigation agency. This agency fills out the Employer section and signs the Registration Application. Complete and sign the Employee section, submit fingerprints and a color photograph of your face. Submit $79 cash, money order, or check payable to DPS. This covers the $50 license fee and the $29 fingerprint processing fee. Expiration date will be the same as the Agency’s expiration date. Fees: Private Investigation Agency: The new private investigator agency application fee is $250 plus $29 for the fingerprint processing of the Qualifying Party. Any Resident Manager and/or Associate application fee with fingerprints is $79 each. This covers the $50 license fee and the $29 fingerprint processing fee. These are to be submitted with the new agency application paperwork. After all requested information has been received at DPS and the background checks and experience have been reviewed and approved, we then request the new agency license fee of $400 and a Surety Bond in the amount of $2,500.00. Private Investigator: The application fee to become licensed in Arizona is $50.00. In addition, the costs for the fingerprint processing are $29.00, which makes the total $79.00. Renewal Information: Private Investigation Agency: The renewal license fee for renewing an agency is $250. Include $29 for the fingerprint processing of the Qualifying Party ($279 total for the QP). Any Resident Manager or Associate renewal applications and fingerprints must be submitted with the agency renewal paperwork - include the $50 license fee and the $29 fingerprint processing fee per Resident Manager or Associate applicant ($79 per person). Allow at least 15 business days after the submission of your application before calling the unit to check your status. Repeated phone calls will only delay your application. Private Investigator: Private Investigator Employees renew when their Agency renews - Less than 60 days before the expiration date - Less than 90 days past the expiration date (add $10 late fee) Forms: There is an application form that must be completed.
